The State of North Beach
This is a great little video by Spots Unknown about the current state of San Francisco’s historic Italian neighborhood, North Beach. It is told through the eyes of a local Italian-American resident named John Mola. Many great Italian businesses are highlighted in the piece, including ones newly created by recent Italian immigrants. I especially love the music (“Scalinatella” and “Campagna d’ro” by Roberto Murolo) and the gnocchi cooking montage at the end. Enjoy.
